THE POCKETPC PROCESSORS
Processors used by the earlier, first PocketPCs include the following:- Intel StrongARM SA1110 Applications Processor
(supporting the ARM v4 instruction set)
- Hitachi SH3
- NEC MIPS
- Samsung S3C2410 (and variants)

If you own a Pocket PC or Pocket PC 2000 device, it will probably use an ARM-compatible
processor.
Some PocketPCs also use SH3 and/or MIPS processors.. The OS is Windows CE 3.0. PocketPC 2002 devices solely use ARM compatible processors. The OS is Windows CE 3.0. Pocket PC 2003 devices solely use ARM4 compatible processors, and their OS is Windows CE.NET 4.1 or 4.2.
We have also included a small program which detects if your PocketPC runs an Intel XScale processor in the PocketPC Freeware pages.
